The first of a new phase of St Modwen’s Longbridge development the Waters Building is a combined Headquarters and production facility totalling 45,000sqft.

 Cavish were initially contracted to undertake the full earthworks and groundworks package including the following elements:

• Cut and fill earthworks of over 7000m3 including provision of piling mats
• RC Foundations to Vibro Piles
• Drainage andAttenuation Tanks
• External service yard
• Certified gas membrane to CS2 requirements  
• External works inclusive of feature cobble crossings and limestone paving to main entrance areas
• Stone preparation for ground floor slabs to high tolerance using total station control Bobcat grader  

Whilst undertaking the works Cavish were approached due to our previous experience with FM2 power floated floors to undertake this element of the works which included an intricate joint layout and varying depths/thickenings due to final manufacturing machine placement.

All works were completed working together with Speller Metcalfe’s site team in just 38 weeks.
